I’m currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Toronto and a Chiropractor working at KITE clinics. I’m currently practicing part-time at KITE clinics at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute providing rehabilitative services for patients with persistent concussion symptoms and chronic pain. I have extensive experience with vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, and various chronic pain complaints utilizing a range of manual therapies, acupuncture and progressive rehabilitation.
My research aims to evaluate the effects of customizing persistent concussion rehabilitation based on a standard exam to sub-type the theoretical driver for their symptoms. Additionally, we are specifically interested in assessing the effectiveness of a prescribed aerobic exercise protocol as compared to general exercise recommendations. Lastly, we are evaluating patients’ cognition via quantitative electroencephalography (EEG). The electrophysiological changes will be compared to patients’ outcomes. We are interested in identifying any possible neuro-biomarker at baseline that is predictive of treatment responders versus non-responders.
