2027 UBC Core Facility for Neurology Biomarker Innovation (CFNBI) Conference

Ottawa, ON

Conference

Details

Building on the momentum generated by the 2026 meeting, and recognizing both the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating neurological biomarkers into clinical care across Canada, the conference is expanding to a national stage in 2027.

Hosted in Ottawa, Ontario, the conference will provide a unique platform to bring together federal policymakers, national health organizations, researchers, clinicians, industry partners, and patient advocacy groups. This next iteration will focus not only on the latest scientific advances in biomarker research, but also on the policy, regulatory, infrastructure, reimbursement, and implementation considerations required to translate these discoveries into routine clinical practice.

A featured component of the 2027 conference will be the TRANSCENDENT Concussion Research Program, led by local researcher Dr. Roger Zemek, Senior Scientist at the CHEO Research Institute and Professor at the University of Ottawa.
