Easy as 1,2,3: Considering primary, secondary, and tertiary concussion prevention strategies

Concussion is a major concern among Canadians considering the high risk of occurrence, recurrence, and potential for long-lasting symptoms and consequences. Opportunities for concussion prevention can be understood across the spectrum of prevention including primary (preventing or reducing injury risk), secondary (early diagnosis and prevention of recurrence), and tertiary (ensuring full recovery and prevention of concussion consequences) strategies.

In this webinar, panelists will discuss the latest evidence based on multifaceted approaches to research evaluating concussion prevention strategies aimed to reduce concussions and their consequences, in and out of sport contexts, and across the lifespan. Participants will learn about current concussion prevention strategies and hear from a variety of experts along the prevention continuum.
