Role in Concussion

I have had the privilege of working for the past 48 years in professional and amateur sport at the university, national, and international level. This has provided me the opportunity to be a part of the ever changing world of concussion knowledge and management. I am interested, first and foremost, with the prevention of sport related concussion through the promotion of respect and fair play in sport. As an Athletic Therapist, I am interested in promoting best practices of on-field recognition and management of concussions; followed by the provision of the most effective and evidence based post-concussion rehabilitation and return to play/work. As a professor at the University of Winnipeg, I am committed to the development of future professionals in Athletic Therapy who will further advance our knowledge and management of concussions going forward.
